Experience
Rising Stock Basketball Camp. Counselor
2009 - 2015
In my years working at Rising Stock Basketball Camp I had a lot of responsibilities. Everyday I was responsible for thirty kids. I made sure that they each had lunch, I coordinated their teams for competition, recorded their scores for their individual competitions and made sure that everything ran smoothly.
Extended School Year Instructional Assistant
2015 - 2019
As an Instructional Assistant, I ensure optimal growth of all students by collaborating with our school districts, classroom teachers and community to initiate, design, and deliver exemplary leadership, teaching and learning.
Student Teaching
August 2019-December 2019
As a student teacher, I was able to apply the content knowledge of my coursework in a hands-on way. I served as a student teacher in an 8th grade English classroom that serviced "honors" and "academic" level students. I was able to develop lessons and differentiate them based on the specific needs of each student. I also served as a student teacher in a 7th grade learning support classroom. In this classroom I was challenged with the task of teaching social studies, English, reading, and math while delivering the content with appropriate rigor for each child as specified by their IEPs. During my student teaching experience, I ensured that every child experienced success, everyday.
Long Term Substitute
December 2019- Present
As a seventh grade English teacher, I ensure optimal growth of all students by incorporating grade appropriate readings that are relevant to the students. By providing a multitude of opportunities for the students to converse, I cultivate a community of social and emotional learners. Throughout the year, I created unique lessons to meet my students where they were and helped them to grow through literature.
